Essentially sizers finalizes the shape and dimensions of the part typically in a cooling bath or in the case of profiles, a vacuum tank with liquid. Dry sizing enhances final part dimensions and shape by using a heat transferring medium internal within the tooling to provide heating or cooling. A vacuum is generally used to ensure the part interfaces direction with the tool. Total tooling costs vary with type, size, dimensional and aesthetic requirements of the part. |
